Next stop, Bahamas!
We all woke up at the crack of dawn to arrive at the airport by 5:15 in order to make our flight to Atlanta. Amazingly, we all made it on time, so go lutes! We made it through security quickly with Drew leading the way. Professor Mike chased after a man to return his ID after realizing that his ID should not be a man from New Jersey. We collectively made our way to S terminal and then immediately went on a hunt for caffeine. During our two hour wait for the flight, students either tried to study or played games. Sleeping and studying was the main pastime on the flight.
We arrived in Atlanta on time and walked to the international terminals by foot instead of the train because we wanted to see the art and history exhibits along the way. We ended up in D terminal with a two hour layover. The games and studying continued with a lunch break in between.
We boarded our plane to Nassau at 5:45 pm and we left on time. We continued to entertain ourselves with biology memes, more napping and studying durng the flight. The shorter length of the last flight was much appreciated and we landed on time. We made loose plans to watch Sharknado, Jaws, or the Meg. After going through immigration, we got our luggage after the conveyer belt broke. The gear bags were in an unexpected location and we were happy to find that they made it! We made our way to the bus to make it to the hotel. On the ride we were surprised to discover that they drove on the left side of the road.
Once arriving at the hotel, we checked in and investigated our rooms and the food offered at the hotel. We covered the ground rules and discovered our free complementary drink, which was the perfect way to celebrate the end of a long day. Many of us went back to our rooms to shower and continue studying for our exam, which is scheduled for tomorrow.
